Your Roof, Measured From Above
Address in — roof size, squares, and a local replacement range out. Built on Google's 3D roof data and the same per-city rates as our cost guides.
How this works
- Google's Geocoding API turns your address into coordinates (Florida-only lookup).
- The Google Solar API returns the building's 3D roof model — total surface area with pitch already included, measured from aerial imagery covering 95%+ of US buildings.
- We multiply that area by your nearest tracked city's per-square-foot replacement range — the same researched data behind our manual calculator and cost index.
Accuracy: aerial roof models are typically within a few percent of on-site measurement, but Google notes imagery can be outdated and 3D conversion imperfect. Treat results as a planning range; material orders need an on-roof measure.
Your address is not stored
The address is used for the measurement and returned to your screen. We cache the anonymous roof measurement by coordinates (so repeat lookups don't burn quota) and rate-limit by a hashed connection fingerprint — neither is linked to your name or contact details unless you separately submit the quote form, which asks its own consent.
FAQ
Why can't it find my address?
Coverage gaps exist — newer construction, rural parcels, and some multi-unit buildings lack 3D roof data. Use the manual calculator with your home's footprint instead; same rate data.
Is this what a contractor will quote?
No — it's the planning range for your roof's measured size at local market rates. Quotes add tear-off scope, decking repair, ventilation, and permit fees. See how to read a roofing quote.
Which cities does this cover?
Estimates use rate data from our 20 tracked Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches cities; addresses within the region match to the nearest tracked city (distance shown in the result).
